How does auto-close detection work?

Last updated: May 23, 2025

The auto-close feature automatically marks tasks as complete when it detects resolution language in messages. This helps keep your task list current without manual intervention.

What triggers auto-close?

The system looks for two types of signals:

  • Resolution language (e.g., "that worked", "it's fixed", "looks good")

  • Acknowledgment messages (e.g., "thank you", "thanks")

Important considerations

  • Auto-close monitors messages from both team members and customers

  • The detection uses AI to understand context, rather than just matching specific phrases

  • Tasks can always be reopened if accidentally closed

Tip: If you're concerned about accidental closures, you can monitor the behavior for a few days and adjust your workflow as needed. The feature can be toggled off in settings if it doesn't match your team's needs.
