What steps should my customer take to allow joining standard Teams channels as a guest?

If you are joining a Microsoft Team or standard channel as an external guest, ensure your organization allows connecting to your vendor's domain

1. On this page in the Microsoft Teams Admin Center, ensure that the settings in 'Teams and Skype for Business users in external organizations' allow connection to your vendor's domain.

   1. If your company uses the 'Allow only specific external domains' setting, ensure the target domain is included on the list.

   2. If your company uses the 'Block only specific external domains' setting, ensure the target domain is NOT included on the list.
