How do I connect Stripe to Pylon?
Last updated: July 8, 2026
Pylon supports connecting with Stripe to importing billing and subscription data.
In Stripe, go to
Settings > Developers > Manage API keys
Create a new restricted key. Go through the flow for "Providing this key to a third-party application".
At minimum, the Pylon integration requires the following permissions:
Customers - Read
Subscriptions - Read
Invoices - Read
Products - Read
After creating the key, copy the token (it should be of the form
rk_...).In Pylon, go to the integrations page, select Stripe under the Billing section, and click Connect.
Paste the API key from Stripe and click Submit.
After successfully connecting the integration, you will be able to set up your Stripe sync. Pylon currently supports importing Stripe customers, subscriptions, subscription items, and invoices. For each of these objects, Pylon supports importing them directly as custom fields on the Pylon account (this is only recommended for objects that cleanly map one-to-one between Stripe and Pylon, like Customer), or as custom objects attached to a Pylon account.
Stripe objects link to Pylon objects via their Stripe customer ID. By default Pylon manages this automatically by matching against the domain. If your accounts have their Stripe customer IDs defined elsewhere, you can manually set this link by selecting the Pylon custom field that contains the Stripe customer ID in the settings tab of the sync.
