How do trigger version changes affect queued time-delayed triggers?
Last updated: August 13, 2026
Applies to: time-delayed triggers
When you save a new version of a trigger, runs that were already queued keep using the version they entered with. The new version applies to future qualifying kickoff events, not to runs that were already waiting in the delay queue.
If you need to stop older queued runs, clear the queue. Clearing discards the pending runs, and they do not automatically restart on the updated trigger version.
How to clear older queued runs
- Make another change to the trigger.
- Save the trigger.
- Select the option to clear the queue when prompted.
After the queue is cleared, the trigger runs again only when an issue later meets a new qualifying kickoff event under the current version.
