How does the "Send Preview" function work for broadcasts?
Last updated: February 23, 2026
The "Send Preview" feature for product broadcast posts allows you to review your content before sending it to your intended audience. Here's how it works:
Sending a Preview
Create your product broadcast post as usual.
When you're ready to test how it looks, click the "Send Preview" button on the right side of the broadcast editor screen.
You'll be prompted to select a channel for the preview.
Choose the channel where you want to send the preview — you can send it to yourself or to a specific internal channel.
The preview will be sent only to the channel you selected.
Important Notes
The "Send Preview" function does not automatically send the post to your selected internal or external channels.
It's a separate step from the actual broadcast, allowing you to check the content and formatting before the final send.
You can send multiple previews to different channels if needed.
Sending previews before broadcasting is considered a best practice to ensure formatting and tone are correct.
In order to send a preview of the broadcast to yourself, ensure you have your Slack account connected to Pylon in Integrations > Slack
After you're satisfied with the preview, you can proceed to send the actual broadcast to your intended audience through the regular posting process.
