How do I merge duplicate accounts?
You can merge duplicate accounts in Pylon from either the account you want to keep or from the Accounts list.
- Open the account that should remain after the merge.
- Click Account settings at the bottom of the left sidebar.
- In the Danger zone, click Merge.
- Select the duplicate account to merge, review the warning, and confirm.
You can also select duplicate accounts from the Accounts list and use the Merge action there.
When the merge completes, the surviving account keeps the combined record. Issues, contacts, domains, channels, external IDs, and other associated data transfer to the surviving account. Tags and custom field values from the merged account do not transfer. The merged account is permanently deleted, and the action cannot be undone.
If both accounts have contacts with the same email address, those contacts are not merged automatically. Merge duplicate contacts separately after the account merge if needed.
