Can I edit options for the standard issue fields?

Editing Existing Options

You can edit some options within standard issue fields, but not all of them:

  • Question Type: You can modify the multi-select options.

  • Resources and Priority: These options cannot be edited or removed.

This means there’s flexibility for adjusting question types, but the resources and priority values remain fixed.

Note: If you do change the default values, you may also want to update the slugs to match the new values. This isn’t automatic—the old slugs will remain unless you update them manually.

Adding New Options

While you can’t modify every field, you can always add new options to the standard fields. To do this:

  1. Go to the Issue Custom Fields settings page > Edit field options.

  2. Add your desired new options to the existing list.

  3. Click Save.

By adding new options, you can expand the available choices in your ticket forms without altering the pre-existing ones.
